Unlike other service ministries, those participating are
ministered to as well...we ALL enjoy the treatments! We
all serve each other as well as those we are reaching.
What if the only women that come are already saved?
Doesn't matter, the party goes on as planned with spa
treatments, sharing, food, (think chocolate!) fun, prayer and
heart healing. Women talk to their hairdressers and
manicurists...for some, it's one the best times to reveal
their hearts. This common practice allows spa treatments
to build trust and relationships in the same way.
However, the parties are not designed to lure women in and
trap them under a layer of mud while we cram the gospel into
their ears!
 During
these get-togethers, we discuss the reality of being a woman
in the 20th century. Biblical principles are the central
focus regarding life choices but we also draw upon lessons
from women in all walks of life, whether famous, infamous or
unknown.
The purpose of the get-togethers are to strengthen our walks
with God, to draw those who don't know Him to find a
relationship with Christ, to help heal broken hearts, to
increase self-awareness and positive self-image, to fellowship
and to support one another in love.
The underlying main focus is even more important -- helping
stop human trafficking and reaching out to battered women and
homeless teens, also known as throwaway kids.
Servant Sisterhood encourages those who participate in the
ministry to buy hand crafted organic and natural bath and
beauty products, jewelry, soy candles and aromatherapy
potpourri crystals to support ministries and agencies that we
donate money to through Whole Earth International.
The aspects of
sisterhood AND opportunities for service come naturally
through the relationships and camaraderie we build together
through selfless love, giving and service. We look for
ways to help a woman we're serving make a decision to accept
Jesus into her heart, renew the relationship if she's been
wandering away from God or, at the very least, to plant a seed so that
perhaps one day she will become our sister in
Christ and have the full and abundant life God longs to
